My 5 Favorite Hot Teas

I love drinking and experimenting with different hot tea flavors. Usually when I experiment with flavors, I go to Teavana and buy a cup of hot tea in an interesting flavor. This is a great way to quickly and cheaply find out if a flavor is right for you! At Teavana they also sell tea samplers. My boyfriend got me a huge box of tea samples and it was amazing to experiment with flavors and find new favorite teas.
Tea is a great way to warm up during the winter! Most days I drink at least 3 different types of tea. I drink a caffeinated tea in the morning, an herbal digestive tea in the afternoon such as ginger tea, and an herbal tea at night. I have many teas at home and it was really hard to choose only 5 teas. Below are the teas I love, drink the most often, and crave when I run out.

1. White Ayurvedic Chai from Teavana
White Ayurvedic Chai is such an interesting tea, it is very rare to find a white chai at a tea store other than Teavana. I really love the lightness of the white tea and the warmth of the cinnamon and clove spices in this chai.
Ingredients: White tea, cinnamon, lemongrass, candied pineapple pieces (pineapple, sugar), candied coconut pieces (coconut, sugar), ginger pieces, cloves, natural flavor, black pepper, and cardamom.

2. Lavender Sage Citrus with or without Jasmine Pearls from Teavana
I was so shocked that this tea blend was so amazing. I decided to try a cup of this tea in the Teavana store and immediately loved the unique flavor combination. The jasmine pearls complimented the citrus tones, and the hint of lavender and sage. I have tasted this tea with and without the jasmine pearls and it is an incredible tea either way. The jasmine pearls are a great addition to the flavor of the tea and add caffeine.
Ingredients: Green tea scented with jasmine blossoms, apple pieces, candied pineapple pieces (pineapple, sugar, citric acid), sea buckthorn berries, orange peels, orange juice pieces, natural and artificial flavoring, pineapple chips, orange slices, apple slices, lavender blossoms, and sage.

3. Mint Majesty Tea from Teavana
Mint tea is so simple, yet so yummy. This is one of my favorite herbal teas to drink at night! I love the freshness of the peppermint and spearmint combined with the soothing lemon verbena flavor.
Ingredients: Spearmint, peppermint, and lemon verbena.

4. Hot Cinnamon Spice Black Tea from Harney & Sons
I love cinnamon. I bought this tea in tea sachet form, they have other packaging options such as loose leaf and tea bags. This is the best cinnamon spice tea I’ve ever had. I’ve tried a few loose leaf cinnamon tea blends with orange, but I always come back to this tea. I love the warming properties of the cinnamon combined with the richness of black tea.
Ingredients: Black tea, orange peel, three types of cinnamon, and cloves.

5. Ginger Lemon Green Tea from Spices and Tease
This is a very refreshing and tangy tea, that isn’t overpowered by ginger. It is the perfect combination of ginger, lemon, and green tea. I usually put a squeeze of fresh lemon juice in this tea, which really adds to the depth of flavor.
Ingredients: Sencha, Ginger bits, Lemon peels, Lemongrass and Spearmint.
