It's easier to eat healthy snacks when you have them readily available. Last year, I went to St. Lucia and my biggest regret was not bringing any healthy snacks with me. I figured I would be able to buy healthy snacks in St. Lucia, but the healthy snacks there were incredibly expensive. I ended up eating a lot of chips and feeling really bloated. Now, whenever I travel or even when I go on long hikes I always bring healthy and nutritious snacks with me. In a few weeks I'll be going on a roadtrip around Iceland and I'm going to pack a bunch of healthy snacks. I've been thinking a lot about the perfect snacks to pack. I am gluten-free and want to ensure I have healthy, nutritious, easy, and on-the-go snacks available. I want to bring snacks that contain protein, fat, can be stored easily, and are similar to the foods I eat at home. My body loves routine, so anytime I travel my body always takes a few days to adjust. However, eating as closely as I do while at home definitely helps my body to adjust better. Below is a list of my 5 favorite healthy on-the-go snacks that I'll be bringing with my on my roadtrip!
What are your go-to healthy travel snacks?
